Hi Aquila!

I know that everyone says this but I love your magazine. My first issue was Japan (June 2020) and it made me want to visit Japan. I LOVE Japanese food!
My favourite page of the mag is Brain Feeders because the puzzles are really fun to do.
My favourite issue so far has been Chocolate (April 2022). The reason for my love of chocolate is when I was little, my brother and I were eating chocolate buttons. I had fewer chocolates than him so I wrote a letter to the company and they sent me a free voucher for more chocolate!!!

Love from,

Angus - age 8

P.S - I loooove your magazines
P.P.S - I would love an issue on all different types of music
P.P.P.S - I really like dancing

Hi fellow Aquilanauts and AQUiLA team (what a start, right … I know, stunning!). I know everyone says this (and that) (and sometimes even that) but I love Aquila soooooooooo much!! Today, I went through all my Aquila back issues – they go back a looong way – and I saw the Manga page in the Japan issue (June 2020). It inspired me to try some Manga, which was so much fun and turned out pretty well, even if I say so myself … sadly, I forgot to take pictures, but on the plus side I think I have a real future ahead of me (in drawing Manga, at least). Random change of subject: it’s important that everyone knows this … I am CRAZY about Billie Eilish. Please reply to me if anyone else is! Last up, I have a question for the Aquila team: why do we not see Kit as much? Anyway, I think I better shut up, or this will go on and on and on!! Bye then, bye … bye (ok, bye)

Hi AQUILA!
I love your magazine SO much. You have really cheered me up and given me something to do during the lock-down. My hobbies are drawing, cuddling with my pets (a dog named Bella and a cat named Sparkles), reading (especially AQUILA and Harry Potter), baking, and many more. I love the over to you pages because I like hearing what other kids are doing right now. I'm making the Trace Fossil from the Evolution Issue (Jan 2020) as of now! Thank you so much for so many inspiring ideas! Here is a photo of the Paku Paku Kitsune I made from the Japan Issue and my cat. Bye for now!

Hi Aquila,
You are AWESOME!!! I love your magazines and have been getting them for two years now.
During 2020, I read a series of books called the Young Samurai series, and since then I have been obsessed with Japan and everything to do with it. So it’ll be no surprise if I say that when the Japan issue came through my door I freaked out! I speak Japanese and write it and love to read, act, write, learn and I want to be a linguist when I grow up.
I also love manga and did a drawing of a Japanese Snow princess called Miyuki, which means beautiful snow:

This was a really fun activity from your ice age issue, we designed our ice cream sundaes, based on the knight William Marshal, who liked apples (we made our own apple sauce) and hazelnuts(we used vegan hazelnut ice cream and real hazelnuts) and it had a vegan MARSHmellow on top.
And the pirate Edward Teach AKA Black Beard, who sailed around the Caribbean so we used, mango, banana, peanut butter and dark chocolate because of the black in Black beard.
They tasted amazing.

Hi Aquila, I love your magazine! It is so imaginative and fun! I won the Aquila art competition from the Aquila issue, what is art? And this letter is about that (well, and a couple of other things) anyway, as I was saying, I won the art competition and I was really excited when I got my prizes! Hi AQUiLA,
I LOVE your magazine. It is so fun and educational. I can almost always find an issue about one of my school topics. My favourite page is Over to You. I also find your arts and crafts very fun. To keep myself busy, I have done tons of arts and crafts from AQUiLA . I have made the Phoenix (Nov 2020), the pop-up plates (Oct 2020), the Islamic Geometric patterns (Oct 2020) and the Paku-Paku Kitsune (June 2020). I made the plate, patterns and fox with my brother. My favourite issue of yours is the Night At The Movies because it is so interesting learning about all the different paradoxes, the first animation movies and sound effects. The paradoxes are so cool, my favourite is the grandfather paradox. Now, a bit about me. I am 10 years old and I love tigers and red pandas. They are sooo cute. I also really like reading and writing. I think you should do an issue about countries; culture is really interesting to learn about.

First of all, I have been receiving your amazing magazine for over 4 years now! To be precise I have 46 issues! Second, since October 2016 I have been meaning to write to you, and now in November 2020 I have finally got round to it! Third, out of all these issues it’s been really really hard to pick some favourites, but I guess I should so: Harry Potter (June 2017), Pop Art (April 2018), The Vikings (September 2018), Science of Music (April 2019), and… Cake (June 2019)!!!! I haven’t done many Aquila activities, but me and my sister did make the Dragon’s Blood potion from the Harry Potter issue. It was awesome! First, I stirred in the vinegar and it went dark red, then we added the laundry detergent and it went back to purple, and finally we put in the bicarbonate of soda and it went everywhere!!! It was a good thing that we did it outside!

Hi Aquila!
I LOVE your magazines!!!!
It all started when, about a year and a half ago I saw your amazing magazine in an advertisement and… went crazy! The magazine was the Curious Cats issue (March 2019)! I LOVE Cats! All kind of cats: domestic, wild, homeless, endangered cats! My whole bed and wall near it are covered in my drawings of cats! And we got a real cat this year! We rehomed Sky from a family, who sadly could not take her with them abroad. She is miniature panther!
Finally, like eternity to me, my mum looked on your website and, as I looked over her shoulder, I made such a fuss, that she promised me, she would subscribe! She did on my 11th birthday this year. What made me go crazy? It was the Harry Potter issue! With Jim Kay’s beautiful drawing on the front! I am, probably, the biggest fan EVER!
We are homeschooled and AQUILA is part of our learning! Sad it is only once a month! Thank you for being such a FANTASTIC INSPIRATION!

Hello AQUILA!
I am almost 13 and I’m nonbinary. I live in a small town in Australia but my grandparents in England bought me a subscription, two years later and I still look forward to devouring all the interesting pages as soon as they hop in the mailbox! I am really into the environment and have been to quite a few school strikes in Newcastle. The speakers were really motivational and inspired me to try and get recycling bins alongside the red bins in the playground at my old school.

My favourite subjects at school are HSIE, English, Science and Drama. My extracurriculars are drawing (not very well), playing field hockey, learning the piano, writing and sailboarding. I really enjoy writing short stories, and I recently wrote a 40+ page story about two LGBT+ teens. So far my favourite issues have been Microcosmos, Ancient Greece, Evolution, The Earth and Japan. I made the sock tardigrade from Microcosmos!

Keep being the awesome magazine that you are! Xxx
