Hi there Aquila!
My brother and I decided to do the origami foxes from the Japan (June 2020) issue. It was really fun! (See photo.)
Also, I was really happy that you did a Japan Issue because I LOVE JAPAN!!! I used to have a part of my room dedicated to Japan, but 3 year-old brother happened. I also love Studio Ghibli, which is a Japanese film company. Shout out to fellow Aquilanaut Tim Jones!

hello Aquila and fellow Aquila-NAUTS
From the 1st June to 30th of June i took part in the 30 days of wild challenge, a challenge set by the wildlife trust. It involves doing a nature based activity everyday for the whole of June. one of the activities to do is make a nature themed cake and I thought that it would be thoroughly exciting, and guess what ... I was right. it made me so happy to see my thoughts and ideas come to life in the form of a cake! I hope you like it as much as I do.
But Im not just writing to show you my cake I'm also writing to tell you about my latest creation, Agatha pebbles and Effie smith. Agatha pebbles and Effie smith are the main characters in my latest novel (I haven't quite thought of a name yet). The book is about two girls (Agatha and Effie) who are pupils at William white school for girls in England, they live pretty boring lives, until one day Agatha receives a letter saying that her father will not be able to look after her the upcoming holiday and

Dear Aquila,
I am called Charlie Taylor and I am writing to say how much I love your magazines. I was so excited for your next issue when I read that it would be all about the Amazon. I have been learning about the Amazon rainforest and also the endangered animals at school so I already know some things but I can't wait to find out more. I have included a picture I have done of a Monkey, I hope that you can publish this as part of the rainforest issue.

Please can you do a issue on endangered animals and how to help them.

Thank you for taking your time reading this letter.

Letter:

Dear AQUILA,

I am writing to you because I LOVE your magazines and I would like to share how I enjoyed your exciting projects and what I noticed about them.

I used AQUILA’s marvellous map as a reference while reading the travels of Hercules in the 12 labours of Hercules.

I loved doing the sticky part of the balloonatic bird feeder. I noticed that only little birds can eat the seeds which is good because we made a bird table where the larger birds feed.

My sister and I enjoyed making the carrot ice-cream, instead we ate it creamy. When I took my ice cream out from the freezer, it was frozen like … an ice cube! I couldn`t make it in just right condition.

Yours faithfully,
Laura

Dear Aquila,
I absolutely ADORE your magazines! For me they are a perfect balance of fun and facts. I especially like the games page with word morphs and riddles. Ian the cat is hilarious too.
In England, children have stopped going to school and started home schooling. My school don't send much work, so I get VERY bored, and your magazines give me something to do!
I am MAD about reading, so I would like to recommend some books. In your Fantastic Tales issue (Dec 2019) you had a page about knowledge vs imagination. The Lost Magician by Piers Torday talked about this. Without one the other could not exist. Also, in your Earth issue you mentioned Orangutangs. Running Wild by Michael Monporgo is about a boy befriending an Orangutang. The Last Wild series by Piers Torday is one of my all time favorites. I also did a painting inspired by Impressionism of the Oil Seed rape fields I can see from my house.

Hi AQILA,
I have so many things to say. First, I have been getting your magazines since my 7th birthday (4th July) and I absolutely love them!!! My first ever one was the Ancient Egypt one and the one that I just got is Discover Dogs. I have 43 issues but I might have more by the time that you get this. My favourite ones have to be the Harry Potter issue (I am obsessed with Harry Potter) and the Discover Dogs issue (I am aware that I have only just got it but I am also obsessed with dogs). Second, I made the snowy mountain cookies and they were delicious! I sadly don’t have time to list all of the things I want to say.

Hello AQUILA!
My name is Sophie, and I live in France. I've only just started getting AQUILA, because it used to be Anna, my big sister that got it. Well, I still pinched most of them from her and read them, but I couldn't write letters. Sorry, I haven't found any fossils. It's a fact... Almost everyone seems to find them! I have absolutely no talent in finding anything. Apart from lamp posts, but that generally isn't deliberate...I made the food wrappers with beeswax. It was sooooo fun that my two sisters decided to come along to and make one each. I didn't have any beeswax, so I used an old candle. Handy. I liked Isaac's idea about an issue on camping and survival techniques. I go camping a LOT. It's SUPER FUN! I love reading and writing stories.

Hi! I made some chocolate biscuits for my parents because they had been putting loads of soil in the backyard (some of that will be going into a veggie/herb bed I’m starting!). I got the recipe from a cookbook I got for my birthday (I think) one year. It’s called France The Cookbook. In response to Alice (March 2020) I LOOOOVE cats too (don’t worry Pepe, I still don’t mind dogs!) and have two of them. Sometimes they have little silent (and I mean SILENT) play fights and it’s funny, because one is black and the other is white so when they play fight they remind us of good and evil, or yin and yang!
Anyway I’ve probably said HEEAAAPS now, so I’m just gonna say that I LOVE your magazine (who doesn’t??) and everything in it and I’m super excited for the next one (although it takes a while to arrive as we live in Australia!)

Yesterday (I think), I made a popcorn tray from the money maths issue. My mum and I also made home made popcorn. It was suuper fun! Me and my family all watched Star Wars, so that's why the colours at the front are black and white. I'm not a star wars fan myself (more of a Harry Potter fan), but it was still fun.
